Juie Noreen Best was born during 1904 at Hailsham, Sussex. She married Jacob Percy Best at Battle, Sussex, during 1927. During WW1 he served as a Captain in the 1st Battalion of the Devonshire Regiment serving on the Western Front from May 1917.
Juie served with the British Red Cross Society and was awarded the M.B.E (London Gazette 1st January 1958) whilst serving as a Staff Officer at Headquarters Hospital Welfare Department. Her Serving Sister of the Order of St John is a 4th type, indicating it was awarded between 1948 and 1973.
The medals are mounted as originally worn, sold with copied research, and are as follows -
