A WW2 B.E.M., Civil Division, Medal Pair to Richard Edward Heal, Naval Store Department, Milford Haven.

Richard Edward Heal was born on the 26th May 1903, at Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire.

He was employed as a Hired Storehouse Assistant at the Royal Naval Armaments Depot at Milford Haven during WW2, and was awarded the British Empire Medal for his services there - London Gazette, 6th January 1946.

R.N.M.D. Milford Haven was one of the bases on the Western Approaches Command during the Second World War.

Richard died on the 14th April 1985, and is buried in the Milford Haven cemetery.

The medals are mounted for display, sold with some copied research, a Royal Marine School attendance medal dated 1919, and are as follows -

G.VI British Empire Medal, Civil Division, RICHARD E. HEAL; 1939/45 War Medal, unnamed as awarded.
