A WW1 W.I.A. medal pair awarded to 41381 Pte Alfred Hough, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment & later the Durham Light Infantry, who was wounded in action during the Battle of Havrincourt, suffering a gunshot wound to his left thigh.

Alfred Hough was born during 1899 in Wigan, Lancashire. He attested for the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment on 19.7.17 and enlisted on 23.8.17, joining the 3rd Battalion. He later transferred to the Durham Light Infantry on 5.4.18 and was serving with the 9th Battalion during the Battle of Havrincourt when he suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh (War Office Daily List No.5696).

The medals are mounted as worn on their original ribbons, sold with copied research and are as follows -

Condition, good very fine

Pte Hough is not entitled to the 1914/15 Star.
