A WW1 medal pair (full medal entitlement) awarded to 515028 Spr S.J. May, Devon (Fortress) Royal Engineers.
Stanley James May was born during 1887 in Plymouth, and was employed as a boot maker prior to joined the Royal Engineers on 5.11.15. He served with the Devon (Fortress) Engineers during the Great War and was awarded 2 day ‘Confined to Barracks’ for being A.W.O.L on 30.1.19 whilst serving in France.
The medal pair are mounted for display, sold with a file of copied research (in both A3 and A4 size) and are as follows - British War & Victory Medals, 515028 SPR. S. J. MAY. R. E.
