A WW1 Royal Navy and Mercantile Marine Medal Group of three awarded to J50871 & Steward S.J. Rowland.

Stanley John Steward was born on the 28th June 1893 at Southampton, Hampshire. He joined the ranks of the Royal Navy on the 8th March 1916, serving two land spells at H.M.S. Victory I, H.M.S Midge and H.M.S. Pellow - he was awarded a Silver War Badge during 1918 and was invalided out of the Royal Navy on the 22nd March 1918.

After leaving the Royal Navy Stanley joined the Merchant Navy where he was employed as a Steward.

The medals are mounted on a piece of card for display purposes, sold with copied research confirming these three medals are his full entitlement (medal roll confirms) and are as follows -
