A WW1 British War Medal, Victory Medal and Imperial Service Medal to 244358 GNR W.L. Sharp (wounded), Royal Artillery (1340)
£65.00
A WW1 British War Medal, Victory Medal and Imperial Service Medal awarded to 244358 GNR W.L. Sharp, Royal Artillery.
William Lloyd Sharp was listed as “Wounded” on the 7th September 1918, War Office Daily List No.5664. Pre War he worked for the Post Office (listed in in the London Gazette) so the assumption is that his award of the Imperial Service Medal is for his service with the Post Office (we cannot find a date for the award in the London Gazette).
The medals are mounted on a piece of card for display, sold with some copied research and are as follows -
BWM & Victory Medals, 244358 GNR. W. L. SHARP. R. A.; GVI Imperial Service Medal, WILLIAM LLOYD SHARP.
Condition, good very fine
GNR Sharp is not entitled to the 1914/15 Star
