A WW1 Casualty Medal Pair & Memorial Plaque awarded to 07167 Pte H.C. Bradbury, Army Ordnance Corps, later 2/4th King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.

Henry Cyril Bradbury was born circa 1895 and from the Nottinghamshire area. He originally joined the ranks of the Army Ordnance Corps (No.07167), then transferring to the Northumberland Fusiliers (No.59327) and then the 2/4th Battalion the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (No.63265).

It was whilst serving with the 2/4th Battalion that he was wounded, possibly during the fighting at the Battle of the Scarpe, and subsequently died of his wounds on Tuesday 27th August, 1918. Pte Bradbury is remembered with honour at the Gomicourt South Cemetery.

The medal pair are loose on their original ribbons, sold with his death plaque, copied research and are as follows -

Condition, small trace of verdigris to the reverse of the plaque, BWM toned, otherwise good very fine

Pte Bradbury is not entitled to a 1914/15 Star.
