A WW1 & Special Constabulary Medal Group to 238319 Spr J.C.N. Yealand, Railway Royal Engineers (1116)

£65.00

A WW1 & Special Constabulary Medal Group awarded to 238319 Spr J.C.N. Yealand, Railway Royal Engineers.

Jonathan Charles Noble Yealand was born on the 30th July, 1893, at Nottingham. During the Great War he served with the Railway Royal Engineers (only entitled to the WW1 pair), and the 1939 Census has him listed as working as a Coal Hoist Driscer LMSCO, whilst residing at 2 Marshfield Avenue, Goole, West Yorkshire. During his War service it appears that he drooped his first name which was not uncommon for the time.

The medals have been professionally mounted, cleaned at some point, sold with four pages of copied research and are as follows -

British War & Victory Medals, 238319 SPR. C.N . YEALAND. R.E.; GVI Special Constabulary Medal, JONATHAN C. N. YEALAND
