James William Nichols was born at Bermondsey, Surrey, and attested for the Coldstream Guards on the 7th of December 1914. He disembarked France with them on the 15th of August 1915.
The medals are mounted as worn on original ribbons (Star ribbon very distressed), sold with copied research, and are as follows -
