A Great War (Wounded during 2nd attack on Bellewaarde) 1914 Star trio awarded to 3-9848 Sjt A.S.A. Dowse, 2nd Battalion the Suffolk Regiment.

Archibald Sydney Augustus Dowse was born on the 1st December, 1894, and from Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk. He disembarked France on the 11th November 1914 with the 2nd battalion the Suffolk Regiment. He was listed as “wounded” on the 11th October 1915, during the 2nd attack on Bellewaarde. At some point he transferred to the 17th Battalion the Scottish Rifles with the service number 31951.
