Noel Fred Martin was born on the 4th of January, 1910, at Boston, Lincolnshire. He joined the ranks of the Royal Air Force, attesting on the 14th of September 1926 as an Aircraft Fitter. During WW2 he went onto serve in Burma and was made a Member of The Order of the British Empire (Military Division) in January 1945 - London Gazette 1st January 1945 refers.
