A WW1 medal pair awarded to 1889 Pte Frank Farrell, 9th Battalion the Rifle Brigade.

Pte Farrell disembarked France with the 9th Battalion the Rifle Brigade 22.6.15. He was listed as “Wounded” on the Casualty List dated 23.08.15 and then “Previously reported wounded, now reported not wounded” on the Casualty List dated 27.10.15! At some point he transferred to the 30th Battalion the Kings Liverpool Regiment.

The medals are mounted as worn (both ribbons have been cut at some point and crudely stitched back together), sold with four pages of copied research and are as follows -

Condition, polished thus good fine

Pte Farrell is also entitled to the 1914-15 Star
