A WW1 British War Medal, Victory Medal and G.VI Imperial Service Medal awarded to 195288 Spr J.G. Measures, Royal Engineers.

John George Measures was born during 1885, at Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Prior to the outbreak of the Great War, John worked for the Post Office (London Gazette dated November 10th, 1903 refers). He joined the ranks of the Royal Engineers, survived the War, and returned to the Post Office where he was awarded his Imperial Service Medal.
